Ellen Durant

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Ellen is the co-founder of Belong and a Master’s level marriage and family therapist. Her education and clinical experience center around relationships, trauma, and addiction. Ellen’s approach to sustainable growth and recovery for clients blends skill building, reflective practice, and systems awareness.

Before opening Belong, Ellen worked for outpatient community health centers and a number of residential treatment centers. Ellen has experience working with teens, adults, couples, ethical non-monogamous relationships, and families.

Dorothy Forbes-Sack

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Dorothy is the co-founder of Belong and a Master’s level, independently licensed clinical social worker. Her areas of interest, education and clinical expertise center around recovery from and thriving after trauma, relationships, and parenting. Dorothy uses somatic, mindset and skill based work to support her client’s growth. 

Dorothy has over 17 years of community mental health agency experience prior to opening Belong. She has spent the large part of her career building quality systems of care that are strength based and client centered. Dorothy has experience working with the entire life cycle. 

Areas of expertise: children 3+, adolescents, adults, trauma recovery, anxiety, couples and family, parenting and co-parenting.

Jehan Layne-Chavez

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Jehan Layne-Chavez is a licensed clinical social worker. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Social Work at Tulane University’s School of Social Work, studying race-based stress and trauma. Her theoretical framework is attachment-
based with the understanding that we as humans are often responding to our environments. Working with clients she focuses on building communication and distress tolerance skills. Her practice builds on clients’ inherent strengths, traditions, and customs to provide a culturally
responsive environment for healing.

Areas of expertise: adolescents and adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, co-occurring, and attachment
disorders. 

Jeanne Cetrulo

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Jeanne Cetrulo earned her Masters of Counseling and Educational Psychology degree from New Mexico State University. Since then she has worked as a clinical counselor since 2011 with individuals and families. Jeanne has also overseen programs and new therapists as a clinical supervisor. Jeanne believes that providing a safe place where a client can feel empowered to self-actualize is an essential aspect of treatment, she strives to embody this ideology and create a space where this process is possible.

Areas of expertise: teens, adults, trauma, substance abuse, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, and self-harm.
